FAQ
1. How do I play on Open Tibia Server?
It's very easy! First create an account on the server you want to play. There are some servers which doesn't provide private accounts. Then, try to use this combination of account number/password: 1/1, 111111/tibia, 2/2. There are different servers for different Tibia clients. For Tibia 7.1 Servers just download Tibia 7.1 client, then go to "Options -> Network" and change "Ip Adress" to the one you have chosen. Then login with created account.
For 7.4 / 7.5 Server, you need Tibia 7.4 / Tibia 7.5 client. How to login? Press start button in left-down corner of your desktop "start->run" and write c:/path/to/tibia74/tibia.exe host IP_ADRESS port 7171 then in "Options -> Network" choose "Test server login"! Now you may login to an Open Tibia Server! For 7.6 OT servers you need IPChanger. You can download one from here: http://otserv.pl/download/show/12. It allows you to change default IP adress of Tibia 7.4, 7.5, 7.55 and 7.6 client and let you connect to Open Tibia Server. When you use IpChanger dont forget to unmark "test server login".
2. I cant add server! When I try to login, it returns me to the "Login Screen"! What's wrong?
Otserv List uses Cookies-Based login mechanism. Check your browser settings and enable them ( cookies )!
3. Somebody has added my OtServ to the list. Now i want to edit it ( or delete ) but I can't!
Change your config.lua and set motd = "otservlist.org-delete". Your server will be deleted in 3-10 minutes ( of course your server has to be online ). Then you will be able to add it again.
4. I lost password to my account!
If you remember the email which you used to register here, just use Lost Password!
5. I use "Lost Password" function but it says that there is no user with my email! Im sure i've typed correct email!
Propably your account has been deleted. Look on point 3 to delete and then re-add your server.
6. My server has been banned! Why?
We do not accept servers with modified/false informations (i.e. number of online players, record and uptime). Usually such servers are instantly detected and banned from otservlist including ip ban so it is harder to add a server in the future. Keep in mind that if you cheat sooner or later we will catch you. You can also be banned for faking other servers (e.g. same name or website) so better think twice before you start breaking our rules!
